Today is morphine withdrawal day. Yes, you heard me right. They had me on morphine (and other stuff) after surgery. It's good stuff. I didn't really suffer with pain much at all. I stopped taking it on Saturday but today is the day where I'm really getting withdrawal symptoms -- sweats, nausea, dizziness, headache. YUCK. And, of course, today is my first day back at work. No wonder no one wants to go to rehab...
I'll write about Burning Man and the toe surgery as soon as I have photos that I can post in with the text (I'll warn you before posting any really grody toe photos -- yes, I have a pin sticking out the end of my toe, yuckie poo!). The short of it is that I had as much fun at BM as I could being pretty physically diminished and the toe surgery was pretty ouchy although much better than the knee surgery I had last year. I'm healing...and glad of it.
And we're ALMOST completely in to our new place...soon...
Thanks for all your good wishes...I've missed you. :-)

I haven't quite gotten over the picture of the toe with the pin sticking out of it. You poor thing!!! How on earth do you cover it to keep it clean??? with a pin sticking out of it??? how is your withdrawal going? Are you able to sleep at all?
Wow, I hope you are doing okay. Poor toe...Take care of yourself!!!
Oh you poor thing with the morphine withdrawal. I hope you feel better soon. To have a big nasty pin sticking out of your toe (can you pretend your toe is a voodoo doll of someone you don't like?) AND have to get off your meds...yuck.
I play that CD on my way to gym (where I'm rehabbing my knee) and I laugh and sing, No, No, No! I'm with you!
Get well and don't overdo it today or the rest of this week.
are you not sleeping? or just didn't go to bed yet?
I slept on Monday night, I thought because I did NOT go back to bed and did NOT take a nap on Monday,
I didn't take a nap tuesday either,
and tonight (tuesday night) went to bed about 8pm and woke up (for the day) about 11pm. . .
going on a field trip with 4th graders to one of the waterways here for a historical tour. it is actually a field trip that I haven't already done (that hardly ever happens). I haven't figured out how they are going to deal with mosquitoes (near water) but husband thinks it will be cool enough that they won't be out.
Off to roll papers for the oldest and then home to wake him at 5am.
