Why?

I just weighed and I'm UP (again) 1.6. I am just too bummed about this...particularly because I don't FEEL like I'm up. I haven't been able to exercise this week due to sickness (I'm still sick), but I've been very very good with food -- pretty easy when all you want to do is sleep. I should have at least maintained. DEPRESSING. I guess I'll just have to get back on it next week...when I'm feeling better (which I am not yet). :-(

You're sick.

The numbers on the scale is irrelevant today. I don't remember what the scales said last week when you were at the little girls' house watching them but gosh, you're sick and there could be all kinds of reason for this. It's not a tremendous gain either. Granted, no one wants to see the number go up, but try again when you're feeling better.

The only way you can lose weight when you're is when you have galloping consumption, a tapeworm named Fred, vomiting, or some other form of wasting away. Now, you don't want that.

(If you've been taking in a lot of soup, you could have an incredible amount of sodium in your body from canned soups, btw.)

Get well and then keep trying.

Hang in there. If you're like me, you're in this for the long haul, and we're going to have these stalling out weeks. Like Lori said, this is not a big gain and is most likely due to water retention. Get rest, take care of yourself, stick to your guns and eventually things will improve. And least that's what I try to tell myself when I have days like yours!

Thanks, ladies...after checking the sodium on my soup, I am hoping it's just water retention AND lack of exercise. I am still feeling sick today...hoping to be able to exercise at least a bit on Monday, but this bug is tenacious. Bumming me out... :-(

Sorry to read you are sick. It is amazing how a little bit of salt can cause an overnight weight gain of water weight. Hang in there and I hope you are feeling better.
